Coastal Rays Lacrosse offers travel lacrosse teams for both middle and high school girls. All experience levels are welcome and teams are selected based on the abilities and experience of each girl. Our goal is to promote challenging and rewarding (fun) growth for each participant. We participate in IWLCA tournaments (for those players interested in playing in college) as well as regional tournaments. Coastal Rays Lacrosse also has a goalie coach who works only with goalies. Individual and small group coaching sessions are available (by appointment) with Rays coaches as well as with Rays-associated women’s lacrosse coaches. Coastal Rays now is offering Rising Rays programs for elementary aged girls who are interested in playing lacrosse at the Rec level.
Parents are also vital team members of the Coastal Rays! Please see the Volunteers page to get involved.
Coastal Rays Lacrosse Programs
We offer a variety of programs throughout the year, please see descriptions below for program offerings.
Summer & Fall Travel Lacrosse
Our travel lacrosse programs are a great way to continue lacrosse throughout the year. Coastal Rays travel to two-day weekend tournaments, attend local playdays, and have two weekly practices. Our coaches strive to make the sport fun for girls and to develop our players into well-rounded athletes. For our High school girls who are interested in playing lacrosse at a higher level, our coaches will guide them along their journey. We love to see girls entering into the world of lacrosse, watch their love of the sport develop, as well as their skill. We welcome all skill levels, from brand new to years of experience. These programs are a great way to get exposure to lacrosse, as well as learn and play with some of the best in the area!
These sessions are a fun way to play some indoor lacrosse once a week to keep up your skills and conditioning. Indoor sessions focus on ball control, game play while allowing all players to keep their stick skills sharp during the winter. The coaches play with the athletes and use this time to coach and learn while in game situations. Coastal Rays have separate High School and Middle School sessions.
